Mike Peebler is a professional actor and teaching artist living in Los Angeles, CA.

After making his debut at age 7 as a circus ringmaster in Houston, TX, Mike continued to work in theater, film and commercials throughout his childhood.  His serious study of the craft began with pursuit of an Acting degree at Northwestern University, followed by earning his MFA from UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television.

With this solid educational foundation, Mike launched a professional career in the LA acting community.   He has compiled a healthy number of film and television credits, including numerous network costar appearances, independent film roles, and the opportunity to share the screen with Tom Cruise in Paramount Pictures’ Valkyrie.  Mike’s latest project, the independent feature A Lonely Place For Dying, is currently enjoying a successful run on the festival circuit, showing in 21 festivals and garnering 4 Best Picture honors.   Mike has also built an impressive list of commercial credits, booking network spots for leading fast food chains, car companies, and technology brands, among others.

In addition to his work in TV and film, Mike has played leading Shakespearean roles on Equity stages  in the Los Angeles area for over a decade.  After honing his skills in parts as diverse as Brutus, Demetrius and Orlando , Mike recently completed a critically acclaimed run as Hamlet.  More contemporary credits include the West Coast premiere of Theresa Rebeck’s Omnium Gatherum, and a world premiere adaptation of Dracula.

When not performing, Mike pursues his other passion – teaching.  His workshop, The Actor’s Guide to Shakespeare, has been featured at thespian festivals in Kansas, Nebraska, Texas, Georgia, California and New York.  He has directed Shakespeare productions with both adults and children of all ages at theaters and schools throughout  the Los Angeles area.  He is available for private coaching as well as Shakespeare instruction for small groups or classrooms.
